🩸 Day 5 Tasks In-Progress
The descent continues... Day 5 is shaping up to be one of the most unsettling and narratively intense segment of the game so far. I’ve been focusing on scripting logic that ties together psychological dread and routine gameplay.
🔧 Implemented So Far:
- Day-by-Day Flow: The player now seamlessly goes between their house and their grandma's house each day.
- Suspenseful Buildup: Unexpected jumpscares tied with psychological, suspenseful buildup will constantly keep you guessing.
- Task System Ready: The task UI dynamically updates and tracks player actions. Once all the day's objectives are completed, the ride back home becomes active again.
🧠 Still in Progress:
- New Jump Scare Placement: I’m experimenting with new and exciting jumpscare placements for the final few days.
- Flashlight Battery Logic: Debating whether to add a flashlight battery system or not.
- End-of-Day Dialog: Writing a cryptic monologue that ties into the game’s overarching mystery and the player's mental state.
“I've been seeing and hearing things lately... I really need some sleep.”
Thanks to everyone watching the progress. If you're enjoying the vibes so far, don’t forget to wishlist or leave a comment—it fuels the nightmares (and motivation).
